Thigh Lift: Cruroplasty

The thigh lift, or cruroplasty, is indicated to correct skin laxity of the thighs after weight loss, with aging, or due to genetic factors.

The art of medical precision

The goal is to remove excess skin, improve skin tension, and redefine the curve of the thighs. Thigh liposuction is often combined to optimize the result by treating localized fat deposits.

"The choice of technique depends on the degree of laxity, the quality of the skin, and expectations regarding scarring and post-operative recovery."

Our Surgical Techniques

A/ Skin retraction with J-Plasma (Renuvion®) or BodyTite

A technique indicated for mild to moderate skin laxity, without major excess skin. It allows skin retraction without a visible scar, thanks to a deep action on the collagen. Duration: 1 hour. Recovery: mild, quick recovery, moderate swelling. Compression garment: 8 weeks.

MILD TO MODERATE LAXITY

B/ Thigh lift with a short scar

Indicated for moderate thigh laxity, localized in the upper part. The scar is located in the groin fold and generally remains discreet. Duration: 2 to 3 hours. Recovery: localized tension, moderate bruising, gradual recovery. Compression garment: 8 weeks.

GROIN FOLD

C/ Thigh lift with a long scar

Recommended after significant weight loss or in cases of extensive excess skin. It allows complete reshaping of the inner thigh, at the cost of a more visible scar. Duration: 4 hours. Recovery: more pronounced, with a feeling of tension and a longer recovery. Compression garment: 8 weeks.

EXTENSIVE EXCESS SKIN

D/ Recovery after a thigh lift

The post-operative period is decisive for the quality of the result and healing.

  • Sitting is prohibited during the first month: rest lying down or standing for both scar techniques.

  • Walking allowed with short steps to limit tension on the scars.

  • Airing the thighs at rest to avoid maceration and promote good healing.

  • The scar in the groin fold is an area at risk of difficult healing, due to moisture and friction.

Appropriate care helps optimize the evolution of the scar.

DOCTOR'S ADVICE

"Following the post-operative instructions and wearing a compression garment for 8 weeks is essential to optimize healing and the quality of the final result."
